Receive your translations by private air courier

PR Holding Ltd., 11th May 2009

In the battle to attract clients, some British companies are employing highly original solutions. An example of this is a new service offered by the translation agency – delivery of confidential documents and translations by air courier.

The internet has significantly speeded up the transmission of information. Unfortunately, this technology does not guarantee that documents remain confidential and data fully protected. In some cases, this means that recourse to older methods is sometimes the most secure, reliable manner for delivering the highest level of security to a client and their documents.

A market survey conducted by reveals that some large and medium-size enterprises are interested having their documents delivered by private plane or helicopter. As many of these companies have business partners and investors overseas, they expect the highest quality for texts, contracts and other documents to build successful relationships. These deliverables often involve commercial secrets, and therefore it is the translator’s duty to protect them from prying eyes.

Lolita Jakubane believes that although there are many translation agencies operating in United Kingdom, only a few are capable of ensuring a high level of data security. Also, using regular mail or road couriers spell delays. “In order to speed up the secure delivery of documents, reduce the possibility of information leakage and deliver work product directly to our clients, we have decided to begin offering delivery of translation by private air courier,” she says.

Under this special service, translations may be delivered to business partners overseas from all cities in the UK with airfields such as London, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburg, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. In addition, will also ensure delivery of the original document. Clients will be able to hand over their order to a company representative directly, who, in turn, will deliver it without delay to the translation agency and then return the work product back to the client.

This approach means that confidential texts can be processed in just a few hours. For example, document translation and delivery from London to Liverpool will take 3 to 5 hours on average, depending on the text volume. Using a road courier or regular mail, this process would take around 24 hours.

Of course, this service will cost more and is designed primarily for large international companies with high document security and reliability needs. However, we are confident that medium and small enterprises will also want to avail themselves of this service at “peak times” in the course of doing business.
